Job Description

About the Role

We’re looking for a detail‑oriented and commercially minded Portfolio Manager to join a Portfolio Management team within Bridging Finance and Specialist Mortgages.

This role plays a pivotal part in managing and supporting a portfolio of bridging and specialist mortgage accounts — including refurbishment lending across light, medium, and heavy refurb projects. Acting as the primary point of contact for customers, brokers, and internal teams, you’ll ensure strong credit stewardship, proactive portfolio oversight, and an excellent customer journey throughout the lifecycle of each facility.

💼 Key Responsibilities

Portfolio & Credit Stewardship

  • Monitor loan expiries, extensions, construction milestones, interest tranches, and part releases
  • Prepare and oversee monthly time‑delay and cost overrun analysis
  • Perform cashflow analysis against approved credit to identify material variances
  • Monitor early warning indicators and escalate concerns in line with bank policy

Servicing & Customer Management

  • Act as the first point of contact for customers, brokers, and internal stakeholders
  • Approve advances, materials on site, and payments within delegated authority
  • Produce customer administration documents, including redemption statements
  • Maintain accurate portfolio records and monitoring systems

Credit & Reporting

  • Prepare high‑quality credit proposals for amendments to existing facilities
  • Ensure compliance with the credit policies and procedures
  • Produce clear and accurate management information and reporting
