Job Description
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen with a highly successful, well established and growing firm for somebody looking to pursue their career as a Mortgage Consultant. This role will suit a mortgage administrator looking to move into an advising or a newly qualified adviser looking to work for a firm that can offer clients, strong support, career progression and high earning potential,
Duties will include:
- Giving whole of market mortgage and protection advice to a wide range of clients, mostly Surrey based
- Working as part of a team (the company deals with mortgages, protection and wealth planning)
- Ensuring a good rapport with long-standing clients of the firm
- Dealing with new business leads (mostly via professional introducers, recommendations)
- Researching the best products that are the most appropriate for the clients’ needs
- Face-to-face meetings with clients and giving advice over the telephone
- Liaising with lenders and providers
- Remaining compliant at all times
- Keeping abreast of interest rates/best deals
- Staying in touch with clients – keeping on top of changes in circumstances
Person criteria:
- Ideally Cemap qualified – working towards this/interested in pursuing this for a career in advising
- Mortgage administrators looking to move into advising will be considered
- Estate Agency Mortgage Consultants looking to work for an IFA firm will be considered
- A great attitude, eagerness to succeed
- Confident personality, good communicator, able to liaise well at all levels
Additional information:
- The role is based in Farnham – initially office based, hybrid when established in the role
- 9-5pm Monday – Friday
- Starting salary: £28-30,000 attractive commission
- 25 days holiday
