We are looking for an experienced Senior Production Operator / Senior Manufacturing Technician to join a growing manufacturing operation in Surrey. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional from a food manufacturing, brewing, fermentation, beverage, dairy, biotechnology or other process manufacturing environment who is ready to take on greater responsibility within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing setting. Pharmaceutical experience is not required. The Role As a Senior Production Operator / Senior Manufacturing Technician, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day manufacturing operations. Alongside hands-on production duties, you will provide technical support to the wider team, help maintain production standards and support less experienced operators. Key Responsibilities Operating and monitoring manufacturing and process equipment Supporting fermentation, media preparation and manufacturing processes Preparing, assembling, operating and cleaning process equipment Following manufacturing procedures, SOPs and work instructions Completing production documentation and records accurately Monitoring processes and identifying potential issues Supporting equipment troubleshooting and process investigations Maintaining high standards of hygiene, housekeeping and contamination control Supporting production schedules and achieving manufacturing targets Identifying and contributing to process improvements Providing technical guidance and support to Production Operators Supporting the training and development of less experienced team members Coordinating day-to-day production activities when required Escalating quality, safety and operational issues appropriately Promoting a strong culture of quality, safety and teamwork About You The ideal candidate will have: Minimum 3 years' experience within a manufacturing or production environment Strong experience in process or manufacturing operations Background in food manufacturing, brewing, fermentation, beverage, dairy, biotechnology or similar industries Good understanding of manufacturing processes and process control Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills Excellent health and safety awareness Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues Experience mentoring, supporting or training other operators Good communication and organisational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team A reliable, hands-on and proactive approach Flexibility to work evenings, nights and weekends What We Offer Up to £20 per hour, depending on experience Initial 3-month fixed-term contract Potential for extension or permanent opportunities Opportunity to gain experience within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment Opportunity to develop your technical and leadership skills Support and training provided If you're an experienced manufacturing professional looking for a role with more responsibility and the opportunity to develop your career, we'd like to hear from you
