We are currently recruiting experienced Platers for a project based in Immingham. This role involves carrying out over-plating repair work, fabrication, fitting, and installation activities within a heavy industrial environment. Candidates must be able to work from engineering drawings and complete work to a high standard while adhering to strict safety procedures.
Working Pattern:
- 12 days on, 2 days off
- 07:00 – 18:00 daily
- 10 hours paid per day
Pay Rates (Self-Employed):
- £275 per day Mon-Fri
- £375 per day weekend
The Role:
- Carrying out over-plating and repair work
- Measuring, marking out, fabricating and fitting steel plate
- Working from engineering drawings and specifications
- Installing and aligning fabricated components
- Working safely at height when required
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to specification
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Plater within heavy industrial environments
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience carrying out structural steelwork, repairs, and modifications
- Must hold a valid Working at Height Certificate
- Comfortable working at height in an industrial environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Previous experience within industrial, structural steel, petrochemical, refinery, marine, or heavy engineering environments is advantageous
