The predicted salary is between 66000 - 77000 £ per year.

We are currently recruiting experienced Platers for a project based in Immingham. This role involves carrying out over-plating repair work, fabrication, fitting, and installation activities within a heavy industrial environment. Candidates must be able to work from engineering drawings and complete work to a high standard while adhering to strict safety procedures.

Working Pattern: 12 days on, 2 days off 07:00 – 18:00 daily 10 hours paid per day

Pay Rates (Self-Employed):

  • £275 per day Mon-Fri
  • £375 per day weekend
  • £25.00 per hour for the first 8 hours worked each day
  • £37.50 per hour for all hours worked over 8 hours per day
  • £37.50 per hour for weekend working

The Role:

  • Carrying out over-plating and repair work
  • Measuring, marking out, fabricating and fitting steel plate
  • Working from engineering drawings and specifications
  • Installing and aligning fabricated components
  • Working safely at height when required
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and to specification
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work area

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Plater within heavy industrial environments
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience carrying out structural steelwork, repairs, and modifications
  • Must hold a valid Working at Height Certificate
  • Comfortable working at height in an industrial environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Previous experience within industrial, structural steel, petrochemical, refinery, marine, or heavy engineering environments is advantageous
