KFF are currently recruiting for a full time, permanent, Quality Manager to join the team based on site at our Aylesford depot, reporting to the Head of Distribution Quality Control.
As the Quality Manager you will oversee KFF wholesale distribution depot at Aylesford and a small manufacturing facility (4 people). It is your responsibility to ensure their compliance with food safety, quality, hygiene and legal requirements through implementation, monitoring and audits of a Quality Management System.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Maintain Salsa / STS certifications at the manufacturing site, though want to progress from SALSA / STS to BRC Food Safety in due course.
- Maintain MSC / ASC and other 3rd party certifications.
- Maintain BRC Storage & Distribution certification to the Distribution site.
- Conduct internal audits of site, against the QMS & BRC S&D Standard.
- Ensuring that the Approved Supplier List for products is maintained in line with introduction of new suppliers and products, implementing a supplier audit programme based upon the risk assessment outputs from the Approved Supplier List.
- Approval of new product codes for site introduced into the business following review and approval of supplier Due Diligence information, whilst ensuring that product information for the labelling of products is maintained to provide for accurate finished product labelling.
- Support customer & regulatory visits / audits to sites, as required.
- Facilitate investigation of complaints & product non-conformance, with regard to technical issues.
- Ensure personnel are trained commensurate with their duties, regarding food safety, quality, hygiene and legality.
About you:
To be successful in this role you must hold a full clean Drivers Licence, ideally have a Food Science Technology degree (or equivalent) although not essential and be HACCP and Internal Auditor/ Lead Auditor qualified. This is a great role for a Junior Quality Manager or Quality Manager looking to take the next step in their career within food produce. You must have demonstrable manufacturing experience and knowledge of all relevant food safety legislation, QMS, BRC standards and auditing. It is key to have excellent communication skills as you will be customer focused and be well organised and use effective project management skills. You will show tenacity and a desire to follow things through to completion, with strong planning and organisational skills, and a high attention to detail.
