Here at kff, we’ve got ambitious growth plans and we have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager to lead the Independent Sales Team covering Kent, Sussex and Surrey. The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for achieving the regional sales and margin targets for KFF Independent sector through the leadership, development and coaching of a regional sales team. The RSM is also responsible for setting down into the culture of the sales team any training Sysco GB or KFF organizes. The RSM has a direct report to the Base Sales Director and up to 9 direct reports.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Achievement of Regional Sales & Margin Targets for kff Base Sales for both share of wallet and new business.
- Achievement of agreed accompaniments, 1-2-1, audits and appraisals.
- Ensure the ASM’s action the core competencies on a day to day basis.
- To have Career Development Plans in place for every team member.
- To ensure that the team are fully briefed and equipped to achieve the weekly / periodic objectives.
- Embed the Sysco GB Sales Training as provided, taking ownership for all coaching needs to develop the teams skills and knowledge in line with company expectations.
- To establish, communicate and monitor performance objectives for self and direct reports.
- Understand and act in accordance with the Sysco GB Health & Safety policies.
- Be aware of customer & market trends and feedback to relevant department.

- Good knowledge and experience of training and coaching techniques, preferably with first line management experience.
- Strong understanding of the customer journey from prospect to champion.
- An individual with an organized approach lending to strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize.
- Good interpersonal skills leading to effective relationships with both internal & external customers, with both kff and across Sysco GB.
- Knowledge of HORECA sector is preferred and/or catering experience.
- An analytical and numerate individual with sound communication skills.
- Intermediate competency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word is required.
- Above all the ability to work in a fast paced environment with skill, humour and tact.
- Can demonstrate a “self-starter” approach to their role and own development.
