ABOUT THE ROLE To ensure the business maintains full compliance with UK&I ESG regulatory and corporate requirements, protecting brand reputation and supporting operational excellence. The role drives a culture of compliance through legislation horizon scanning, oversight, and advisory support across environmental, operational, and ethical domains.
WHAT WILL YOU SPEND YOUR TIME DOING
- REGULATORY COMPLIANCE & ADVISORY
- Monitor and interpret UK legislation and regulatory developments (horizon scanning)
- Translate regulatory requirements into clear business actions and guidance
- Provide compliance advice to cross‑functional teams on legal obligations and risks
- Support implementation of compliance controls and processes
- Maintain compliance across key environmental frameworks including ESOS, SECR, TCFD, EPR, DRS, and F‑Gas
- Oversee compliance in food and operations including Animal By‑Products (ABP) and restaurant waste and hygiene standards
- Support franchise compliance and alignment with corporate standards
- Coordinate activities related to Modern Slavery Act compliance and ethical governance requirements
- Coordinate and deliver accurate and timely compliance reporting submissions
- Produce regular compliance dashboards and reports for Leadership Team (LT)
- Support internal and external audit requirements
- Ensure alignment with corporate disclosure and governance standards
WHAT WE LOVE FROM YOU
- EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Law, Compliance, Environmental Management, or related discipline
- Solid experience in UK regulatory or compliance roles
- Working knowledge of UK environmental and governance frameworks
- Familiarity with ESG reporting standards (e.g., TCFD, SECR, CSRD)
- Experience with packaging data management and EPR submissions preferred
- Understanding of franchise business models and compliance requirements
- Strong analytical and interpretation skills for regulatory requirements
- Ability to translate complex legislation into practical business actions
- Stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines
- Clear communication and influencing skills
