The Food & Quality Team at KFC UKI are looking for a Quality Manager who is passionate about food quality, standards and safety and doing the right thing from a quality and customer perspective. The Food & Quality Team at KFC are a fun, entrepreneurial team who have a critical role in making the KFC Brand modern and distinctive through our menu.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Lead the food information to customers for all products including ingredients, allergens and nutrition.
- Drive ingredient and allergen recipe reformulation projects, interpret research results and translate into next steps.
- Manage Halal product offering ensuring we have sufficient accredited products in our supply chain.
- Drive the identified Spend Smarter initiative from Supply chain through UK & I market development, testing and launch.
- Review and implement relevant market food legislation.
- Project management any change or match of a permanent ingredient/menu item from test to restaurant launch to maintain supply.
- Own the cook profiles and validation of all food ingredients to ensure food safety and quality.
- Manage and maintain recipe management system.
- Collaborate cross functionally with equipment, risk and operations functions on new equipment and ease initiatives for our restaurant teams to ensure food safety and quality.
- Be a guardian of food standards and core product finished quality.
- Embrace and champion the food culture across the business.
What we’d love from you:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in relevant quality/technical role within food manufacturing, food retailing or food service disciplines.
- Broad experience across food safety, quality and product development desirable.
- Strong influencing skills and confident communicator at all levels of the organisation.
- Proven project management including product optimisation, research and product launch.
- Experience using raw material, recipe management systems and food labelling.
- Food legislation and labelling, HACCP and quality management systems knowledge.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work in a structured and methodical manner.
- Able to demonstrate commercial awareness as well as food safety/technical knowledge and skill.
- Strong organisational skills for planning and prioritising with self-motivating.
EDUCATION: Degree in Food Science/Technology/related subject.
