Welcome to KFC. Home of the real ones.
We sell the world’s best chicken. Seriously. And we’ve done it since 1939, when the idea of crispy, original recipe chicken took Kentucky by storm. Now, we’re proud to serve 1000+ communities across the UK and Ireland, bringing the grit, pride and iconic reputation that we started with, all those years ago.
Across the Restaurant Support Centre (RSC), we come to work to be ourselves, and to make something of ourselves. We want to see our potential go that little bit further, as part of one of the world’s most iconic brands.
What’s the gig? Well, you support our restaurants — and we’ll support you every step of the way. Simple. Our doors are open — and they can take you anywhere.
All we ask is that you be you. Because that makes us, us. Sound good? Great. Let’s find out about that job.
THE TEAM
Our People and Culture team creates a place where people don’t just work – they thrive and feel genuinely proud to be part of something real. We’re here for all 36,000 members of Team KFC – shaping a bold, inclusive culture where everyone feels supported, included, and empowered to grow.
We lead with smart, heart, and courage and are people first, always. From finding and nurturing top talent to unlocking growth opportunities, we’re ambitious about our people’s potential. We ask questions, push boundaries, and challenge the usual way of doing things – if it means building a better experience for our teams, we’re all in.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
At KFC, our restaurants are where the magic happens – 30,000 people showing up every day to serve food we’re proud of and experiences that matter. The Operations Communications & Events Manager is the partner that keeps those teams connected, informed, and fired up. You’ll lead the charge on how we talk to our people, turning strategy into stories and plans into purpose.
WHAT YOU\’LL SPEND YOUR TIME DOING:
Lead how we talk to our teams.
You’ll shape and deliver clear, engaging content that keeps our 30,000+ team members informed, inspired, and ready to serve up greatness. From weekly updates to urgent comms, you’ll make sure everything we say is timely, consistent, and true to our brand.
Be the go-to for cross-functional comms.
You’ll own the “window” communication process — bringing together teams across Marketing, Innovation, REX, and Supply Chain (plus our agency partners) to create high-quality, useful, and on-brand content. You’ll act as a strategic partner, making sure everything we share helps restaurants deliver on our goals.
Bring our big moments to life.
You’ll manage comms for new product and system launches – adding operational insight early, overseeing testing, and ensuring every tool and message is clear, actionable, and ready for the field.
Keep the system connected.
You’ll create and deliver key business updates – from monthly comms to all-team cascades (virtual or in-person). You’ll help leaders land the big messages and reinforce our priorities with clarity and confidence.
Champion our people stories.
You’ll lead our employer brand advocacy programme – shining a light on real team member stories that show pride, purpose, and the heart of who we are. You’ll partner with Internal Comms and People teams to activate ambassadors, create shareable content, and spark engagement across our channels.
Make one of our biggest celebrations of the year unforgettable.
You’ll own the planning and delivery of our annual Franchise Celebration Day and Awards – managing content, timelines, and logistics with agency partners to create a seamless, high-energy event that celebrates our people and brings our brand to life.
