Key Responsibilities- Lead and deliver the site’s long‑term operational strategy in alignment with group goals.
- Oversee all day‑to‑day operations across production, engineering, maintenance, logistics, and support functions.
- Drive lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and efficiency initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce cost.
- Champion world‑class Health, Safety & Environmental standards, ensuring full compliance with UK legislation.
- Own and manage the site P&L, delivering revenue, margin, cost, and productivity targets.
- Develop budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditure plans to support operational and strategic priorities.
- Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary management team, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Oversee supply chain, procurement, and inventory management to ensure smooth material flow and customer fulfilment.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, supporting commercial discussions, pricing, and contract performance.
- Ensure quality standards, compliance, and certification requirements are consistently met, driving root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Proven senior leadership experience within manufacturing, chemical, heavy industry, or a complex industrial environment.
- Strong technical understanding of processes such as casting, rolling, forging, machining, or heat treatment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large teams and multiple functional areas across an entire site.
- Customer‑facing leadership experience, including involvement in commercial meetings and business development.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience owning site‑level P&L performance.
- Deep knowledge of UK HSE regulations and a track record of leading best‑practice safety culture.
- Hands‑on experience implementing lean, CI, or operational excellence programmes.
