Role: IT Project Manager Care Systems

Salary: Β£55,000

About the Role
We are working with a forward-thinking health and social care organisation to recruit an experienced IT Project Manager to lead a critical digital transformation programme.
This role will take ownership of the selection, migration and implementation of a core care recording and scheduling system, a key platform underpinning frontline service delivery. Youll play a pivotal role in ensuring the right solution is selected, successfully implemented, and optimised to support high-quality, efficient care services.
Reporting into senior Digital & Data leadership, youll work across operational, digital and care stakeholders to deliver a system that directly improves outcomes for both staff and service users.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the selection, migration and implementation of a care records system, ensuring alignment with organisational needs
- Translate business requirements into system solutions, supporting system selection and supplier engagement
- Develop and maintain robust project documentation (plans, business cases, RAID logs, reporting)
- Track progress against milestones and provide clear, concise updates to stakeholders
- Work across teams to optimise systems supporting care delivery, scheduling, HR and finance processes
- Drive process improvement and operational efficiencies through digital and technology solutions
- Collaborate on innovative care delivery approaches, including Assistive Technology
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, data protection and information governance standards, including DPIAs
- Manage suppliers to ensure effective delivery and value for money
- Explore opportunities to enhance services through AI and data insights
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven experience delivering ICT projects end-to-end, including system selection and/or implementation
- Experience translating business requirements into system solutions
- Strong understanding of care systems, scheduling platforms, or similar operational systems
- Experience working with suppliers and procurement processes
- Knowledge of data protection, governance, and information security (including GDPR)
- Ability to drive business change alongside technology delivery
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills
- Excellent organisational and project management capability, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience building effective working relationships across multidisciplinary teams
- Experience within health, social care, or local government environments
- Exposure to care records / case management systems (e.g. Mosaic, Liquidlogic, CareDirector, or similar)
- Familiarity with assistive technology, AI, or data analytics
- Experience supporting or contributing to procurement activities (RFI/RFP processes)
- Knowledge of care delivery workflows and operational processes
- Degree in an ICT-related field (or equivalent experience)
- PRINCE2 or similar project management certification
