Senior Server Engineer Required

£350 per day Outside IR35 - On Site Role in London - 3-6 Month Initial Contract to start ASAP

A leading NHS organisation based in London is seeking an experienced Senior Server Engineer for an initial 3-6 month contract, with potential for extension. This role is fully onsite in London, 5 days per week, and candidates must be comfortable working onsite full time within a fast-paced NHS environment.

Contract Details

  • £350 per day
  • Outside IR35 (via Limited Company)
  • Initial 3-6 month contract, to interview and start ASAP

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide BAU and project-based Microsoft Server support across critical NHS infrastructure
  • Support and maintain VMware virtualised environments
  • Deliver SAN replacement and storage infrastructure upgrade activities
  • Administer and support Active Directory services, including user, group and policy management
  • Troubleshoot server, storage and infrastructure issues to minimise downtime
  • Support infrastructure resilience, patching, backups and system performance improvements
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure continuity of critical healthcare services

Required Experience

  • Strong Microsoft Server infrastructure experience
  • Proven VMware administration/support skills
  • Hands-on SAN/storage upgrade or replacement experience (Dell PowerStore experience desirable)
  • Active Directory administration expertise
  • Linux experience would be desirable, but is not essential
  • Previous NHS or highly regulated environment experience is desirable
  • Immediate availability preferred.
