Keystream are working with a leading specialist care provider specializing in Children's & Young People Neurology, who are based in South London. Due to an ongoing vacancy, they wish to recruit to the permanent role of House/Registered Manager who has a current RGN PIN.

Job Summary:

The House Unit/Registered Manager - Children & Young People Services will be responsible for supporting the organisation with the daily management of the House Care Unit as well as all aspects of the day-to-day function to ensure high quality standards of care and CQC reviews. This is a permanent role; to be considered you will have worked in a similar type of role (Deputy or Unit/Registered Manager) and have an established track record in a care setting (ideally including children's services). A RGN/RMN (current PIN) is required for this position. You will ideally have experience of delivery in relation to neurology, LD or specialist children's services. A current Enhanced DBS (Children) would also be a distinct advantage due to the urgency of this post.

This is an exciting role where you will be a key member of the team. You will be a strong compassionate leader who can support, lead and mentor those around you whilst ensuring the highest standards of quality care are always a priority, working with support staff at every level across clinical and support teams. As the Unit/Registered Manager, you will have full day-to-day ownership of all elements related to quality, safety, home management and providing assurance that the residents are always the top priority. Ideally having at least 3 years experience in a similar role, your positive manner and empathetic management of the service will be key to your success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong leadership by managing the day-to-day operations of the care home.
  • Ensure compliance with health care regulations, CQC standards and associated regulatory requirements are met and exceeded.
  • Help identify any training needs related to the team of health care professionals and associated care staff.
  • Have oversight of staff plans and ensure that rotas and staff cover are planned to support the day-to-day operational requirements.
  • Foster a positive and supportive environment for residents, staff, and families.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided and implement improvements as needed.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the organisation's values and act in a highly professional manner at all times.
  • Liaise with health care professionals, families, and external agencies to coordinate care and support.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, manage your budgets effectively reporting to senior management as required.

Qualifications:

  • RGN/RMN with a current PIN is required for this post.
  • DBS Enhanced (Children ideally) and already on the continuation service.
  • At least 3 years experience of working in a similar role ideally with Neurology services and/or children and Young People.
  • Previous experience in a similar role as a Specialist Care Unit/Registered Care Home Manager.
  • Knowledge and experience in specialist clinical care home service provision.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, empathy and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and make sound decisions.
  • Compassionate and dedicated to providing high-quality care.
