Overview
We are looking for a Training & Delivery Consultant to join a fast-moving delivery team. This is a hands-on role embedded within an operational environment, working closely with frontline teams to ensure new ways of working are understood, adopted, and sustained. The focus is on bridging the gap between programme design and real-world execution.
Responsibilities
- Work on-site with operational teams, observing day-to-day activities and behaviours
- Identify gaps between current practices and intended ways of working
- Deliver on-the-job coaching and small group training sessions
- Build trust quickly with frontline staff and junior stakeholders
- Feed structured observations back into the wider programme team
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting behavioural change and adoption in a live environment
- Influencing without authority, driving engagement with new processes
- Producing clear, structured summaries of on-the-ground insights
- Acting as the eyes and ears of the programme at the point of delivery
- Contributing to a wider programme focused on accelerating defence delivery timelines
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience delivering training or coaching in operational environments
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build credibility quickly with frontline teams
- Experience supporting change adoption or behavioural change initiatives
- Structured approach to observation, note-taking, and reporting
- Eligible for UK security clearance (SC)
Desirable Experience
- Experience in defence, maritime, manufacturing, or engineering environments
- Exposure to change management frameworks or adoption methodologies
- Experience working in site-based or shop-floor environments
- Background in continuous improvement / operational excellence
