Experienced Digital Contracts Officer required for an immediate start.

  • 3-6 months
  • Flexible day rate inside IR35
  • Immediate start available
  • Hybrid working (South East) - Once per week on site

Requirements:

  • Experience managing ICT / Digital contracts within local government or the public sector
  • Strong understanding of public sector procurement frameworks (e.g. CCS, G-Cloud, DOS, Bloom)
  • Proven ability to monitor contract performance, manage suppliers, and ensure delivery against SLAs/KPIs
  • Experience supporting or leading contract renewals, extensions, and re-procurement activities
  • Good knowledge of commercial terms, licensing models, and cost management (particularly software/SaaS)
  • Experience raising and managing purchase orders (POs), ensuring accuracy and alignment to contracts and budgets
  • Ability to process invoices, track spend, and resolve payment queries with suppliers and finance teams
  • Maintaining accurate contract registers and financial records, ensuring audit compliance
  • Strong stakeholder management, working with finance, procurement, and service areas
  • Ability to identify cost-saving opportunities, contract rationalisation, and value for money
  • Comfortable managing a high volume of contracts, renewals, and financial transactions in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with ERP/finance systems (e.g. SAP) for raising POs and managing invoices
  • Knowledge of Procurement Act 2023 and public sector financial governance
  • Experience supporting year-end processes and accruals
