This is a senior, stakeholder-facing transformation role supporting a major organisational review within a UK local authority. The role requires an experienced data and analytics transformation professional who can lead a structured discovery across Data & Intelligence functions, assess capability and skills, and design a future-state operating model. The emphasis is on organisational design, governance, and service optimisation, not hands-on data science delivery.
Key requirements:
- Proven experience delivering data, digital, or analytics transformation within UK local government
- Strong understanding of local authority structures and governance
- Experience conducting data capability reviews, skills and maturity assessments, and operating model design
- Ability to identify practical automation and applied AI opportunities within operational environments
- Working knowledge of BI tools (e.g. Power BI), data architecture principles, and data governance frameworks
- Comfortable producing board-ready outputs and leading senior stakeholder engagement
