A Government organisation is looking for an experienced Solutions and Cyber Security Architect to play an important role, ensuring that the solution in development is technically sound and cyber secure, and fits with target architecture. They will identify any gaps or concerns and assist the team and development partner in finding appropriate solutions. They will ensure that testing is planned and undertaken with sufficient rigour, and that the solution is fit for purpose before it is handed over to the organisation.

Knowledge required:

  • Degree in computer science or equivalent experience/qualifications.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture methodologies (e.g. TOGAF).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft-based IT technologies in particular Azure, SharePoint, SQL.
  • Knowledge of the key building blocks that support technology implementations including networks, infrastructure, applications and cloud based services.
  • Cyber Security Qualification such as CISSP or CISM.
  • Knowledge and experience of Cyber Essentials Plus and PCI-DSS.
  • Understanding of the GDPR regulatory framework.
  • Knowledge of IT Security Tools (Security information and event management, intrusion prevention systems, data loss prevention, anti-phishing, anti-virus, anti-malware, endpoint detection and response).
  • Full understanding and practical experience of the Software Development Lifecycle and project management methodologies (Prince2, Agile, Waterfall).

Desirable requirements:

  • Relevant certifications such as PMP, Prince2.
  • Knowledge of ITIL (v3 or v4).
  • Knowledge of Cyber Essentials Plus.
