Keep the office running. Keep the team sharp. Keep the customers happy. As we scale up our operation, we need an Office Manager who can bring structure, leadership and calm to a busy, fast-moving environment. You'll supervise our office team, own the order entry and complaint recording processes, and be the person who ensures the office runs as smoothly as the factory floor.
This is a hands-on role in a business where accuracy genuinely matters; a missed order or a mishandled complaint has a real impact on a real customer. If you thrive on getting things right, leading people well and being the backbone of a busy operation, we'd like to hear from you.
What you'll be doing:
- Supervising and supporting the office team day to day, setting the standard, managing workloads and keeping things on track.
- Managing office staff holiday, absence and scheduling to ensure full coverage at all times.
- Overseeing the accurate and timely input of all customer orders, identifying errors before they become problems.
- Acting as the first point of contact for incoming customer complaints, logging them clearly, acknowledging promptly and coordinating the appropriate response.
- Monitoring order accuracy and implementing any corrective actions where errors recur.
- Liaising with the production, transport and management teams to ensure smooth communication between the office and the wider operation.
- Maintaining accurate customer and supplier records in line with GDPR and company policy.
- Supporting the management team with administrative tasks, reporting and any ad hoc office needs.
- Helping to develop and document office procedures as the business grows.
- Identifying and flagging any process inefficiencies and bringing solutions, not just problems.
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience in an office management or senior administration role, ideally in a fast-paced, order-driven environment.
- Strong people management skills: you can lead, motivate and hold a small team to a high standard with fairness and consistency.
- A meticulous eye for accuracy; in an order-entry environment, the details matter enormously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; you'll deal with customers, suppliers and colleagues across the business.
- Experience handling customer complaints professionally: calm under pressure, solution-focused, well-documented.
- Comfortable with standard business software.
- An organised, methodical approach to managing competing priorities.
- A positive, can-do attitude that sets the tone for the people around you.
- Experience in a food, logistics or production-adjacent business is a real advantage.
What you'll get:
- A key leadership role in a business that's growing fast and investing in its people.
- Real ownership of the office function; you'll shape how it runs, not just maintain it.
- A close working relationship with the senior management team and Directors.
- A warm, family-run culture where your contribution is seen and valued.
- Competitive salary reflecting the seniority and scope of the role.
