We are currently seeking experienced Testing Technicians to support a major nuclear outage project in the UAE. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly skilled outage team responsible for the testing, inspection, verification, and commissioning support of safety-critical plant systems within a world-class nuclear power generation environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform testing, inspection, and verification activities on mechanical plant systems and equipment during planned outages.
  • Execute functional testing in accordance with approved procedures, work instructions, and quality requirements.
  • Support post-maintenance testing to verify equipment performance prior to returning systems to service.
  • Assist with commissioning and recommissioning activities following maintenance and inspection work.
  • Record, review, and accurately document test results and inspection findings.
  • Identify, report, and support the resolution of equipment defects, test failures, and non-conformances.
  • Work closely with Mechanical, Operations, Electrical, I&C, QA/QC, and Engineering teams to complete testing activities.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with outage schedules.
  • Maintain compliance with nuclear safety standards, site procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Follow Permit to Work, Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO), radiation protection, and Foreign Material Exclusion (FME) requirements at all times.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous outage experience within an operational Nuclear Power Plant environment.
  • Proven experience as a Testing Technician, Mechanical Technician, or Commissioning Technician within the nuclear industry.
  • Experience supporting testing and verification of mechanical plant systems following maintenance activities.
  • Knowledge of Reactor Coolant System (RCS), Feedwater (FW), Cooling Water (CW), and associated plant systems.
  • Experience testing Air Operated Valves (AOV), Motor Operated Valves (MOV), pumps, rotating equipment, and mechanical systems.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical maintenance principles, inspection techniques, and functional testing procedures.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, procedures, and test documentation.
  • Experience completing quality records, test reports, and outage documentation.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong commitment to nuclear safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.

Working Conditions

  • 8 hours per day, 6 days per week.
  • Pre-outage working schedule of approximately 40–48 hours per week, depending on project requirements.
  • Increased working hours may be required during outage periods, with overtime available where applicable.
  • Accommodation, meals, transportation, and single occupancy accommodation provided.

Contract Details

  • Assignment duration of approximately 2–3 months.
  • Potential for extension based on project requirements and performance.
  • Mobilisation anticipated from August 2026.
