We are currently seeking experienced Electrical Craftsmen to support a major nuclear outage project in the UAE. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled electrical maintenance professionals with proven nuclear outage experience to join a critical maintenance team within a world-class nuclear power generation environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical maintenance, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and installation activities during outage operations.
- Execute assigned work scopes in accordance with approved procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and associated plant equipment.
- Support the inspection, maintenance, and functional testing of electrical components, motors, switchgear, cabling, and associated equipment.
- Assist with outage preparation, execution, and completion activities.
- Identify and report equipment defects, non-conformances, and safety concerns.
- Complete maintenance documentation accurately and on time.
- Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and other disciplines to ensure successful outage delivery.
- Promote a strong nuclear safety culture and maintain compliance with all site procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Previous outage experience within an operational Nuclear Power Plant environment.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Craftsman or Electrical Technician within a nuclear, power generation, or heavy industrial environment.
- Strong electrical maintenance, inspection, testing, fault-finding, and repair experience.
- Experience working on nuclear primary and secondary plant systems.
- Knowledge of Feedwater (FW), Cooling Water (CW), Reactor Coolant Systems (RCS), Air Operated Valves (AOV), and Motor Operated Valves (MOV).
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong commitment to nuclear safety, quality, and procedural compliance.
Working Conditions
- 8 hours per day, 6 days per week.
- Pre-outage working schedule of approximately 40–48 hours per week, with increased hours during outage periods where required.
- Accommodation, meals, and transportation provided on site, with shared accommodation.
- Assignment duration of approximately 2 months, with potential for extension. Mobilisation anticipated from September 2026.
