We are seeking an experienced and reliable Wall & Floor Tiling gangs for a long term commercial refurbishment project in Watford. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality bathroom installations to a high end spec, ensuring all tiling work is completed to a professional finish. This role suits someone who takes pride in detail, works efficiently, and has the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities- Wall and floor tiling in bathrooms
- Setting out tiles to ensure symmetry and clean lines
- Cutting and shaping tiles around fixtures, fittings, and obstacles
- Laying ceramic, porcelain, and large-format tiles
- Installation of tile trims and movement joints
- Grouting, sealing, and finishing to a high standard
- Repair and replacement of damaged tiles
- Surface preparation (boarding, levelling, priming, tanking/waterproofing)
- Checking substrates are suitable before tiling
- Use of levelling compounds where required
- Working alongside bathroom installers, plumbers, and other trades
- Reading job sheets, drawings, and instructions
- Maintaining a clean and safe working area
- Managing your own tools and materials on-site
- Reporting any issues or material shortages promptly
- Proven experience as a wall and floor tiler
- CSCS Card
- Strong knowledge of tile setting, adhesives, and preparation methods
- Confident with large-format and feature tiling
- Experience with bathroom waterproofing/tanking systems
- Good understanding of site health and safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
