KeystoneLS are currently recruiting for a reliable and hands-on Caretaker to join a busy school in Rotherham. This is a key role in ensuring the school site remains safe, secure, and well maintained for pupils, staff, and visitors.

About the Role

  • Working Hours: 35 hours per week. Monday – Friday: Split shift 6am-10am and 3pm-6pm. Weekly pay.

Key Responsibilities

  • Opening and closing the school site
  • General maintenance and basic repairs
  • Health & safety checks across the premises
  • Monitoring the security of the site and responding to emergencies
  • Liaising with contractors where required
  • Ensuring outdoor areas and buildings are kept safe and presentable

The Ideal Candidate Will

  • Have previous caretaking, maintenance, or site management experience (school experience desirable)
  • Be practical, proactive, and reliable
  • Understand health & safety requirements in a school environment
  • Be flexible and happy to work split shifts
  • Must have an Enhanced DBS check
