As an Agency Care Assistant, you will deliver compassionate, person-centred care to residents within nursing and residential homes across Wakefield (WF4 & WF11). You have the flexibility to choose the shifts and locations that suit you while maintaining high standards of care and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care (washing, dressing, toileting) with dignity and respect
- Assist with mobility, repositioning and transfers
- Support residents with meals and hydration
- Promote independence and wellbeing
- Accurately complete care documentation
- Follow care plans and instructions from senior staff
- Maintain a safe, clean and supportive environment
- Communicate effectively with residents, families and healthcare teams
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months’ paid care experience in the UK
- Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship offered)
- Five years’ references covering employment/education history
- Willingness to complete mandatory training and DBS checks
- Friendly, reliable and professional approach
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Driver preferred but not essential – applicants must be able to reliably travel to care settings in WF4 & WF11, either by car or public transport
