We are looking for Care Assistants to join our team and provide outstanding care and support to individuals across a variety of healthcare settings, including children’s homes, Supported Living, day centres, care homes, and elderly and dementia services.
Locations- We have work available in Huddersfield, Leeds, Doncaster, Sheffield, Rotherham , Wakefield.
In Sheffield the partial postcodes of our homes are: S26 and S25 please ensure you are able to travel to these prior to applying.
Please note we do not offer Sponsorship and this is a zero hour contract role due to this been agency work.
Experience & Requirements
We are looking for individuals who are:
- Compassionate, caring and respectful, with a genuine passion for helping others.
- Experienced, with a minimum of 6 months’ UK experience working in a professional care setting.
- Knowledgeable about safeguarding, confidentiality and dignity in care.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual and flexible, with a strong work ethic.
- Able to demonstrate the right to work in the UK.
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to provide 5 years of continuous references
- Willingness to complete relevant mandatory training and an enhanced DBS
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals in care and residential settings.
- Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing and toileting.
- Support individuals with meals, mobility and medication, where trained and authorised.
- Promote dignity, respect, independence and choice at all times.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with the individuals you support.
- Accurately record and report on the wellbeing of individuals.
- Follow care plans, policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective care is provided.
- Work effectively alongside colleagues, service users and other healthcare professionals.
