The Role:

We are seeking experienced Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs) to work across theatres in a variety of specialties, including Recovery, Anaesthetics, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmics, and more. You do not need to cover all specialties — we welcome ODPs from any theatre background.

You will provide high-quality care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Flexibility, clinical expertise, and adaptability to different theatre environments are essential for success in this role.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of ODP experience
  • Current HCPC registration
  • Able to provide 2 references covering 3 years
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable transport to reach the workplace
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise patient needs
  • Willingness to complete relevant training and DBS checks
