The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

The Procurement and Finance Officer will provide advice and support to deliver a high quality, robust, resilient, responsive and secure customer focused IT Services. They will:

  • Contribute towards asset purchasing and ordering and maintain appropriate documentation, ensuring this is kept up to date.
  • Build strong partnering relationships with key individuals across Queen Mary.
  • Process invoices, expense claims and interdepartmental transfers, supplier statement reconciliations, raising requisitions and processing through to purchase order.
  • Provide advice and support on budgetary, financial and purchasing matters as required.
  • Liaise with the Finance departments to resolve financial queries.
  • Apply specialist knowledge of procurement and finance to provide advice and support to respond to and resolve customer requests/incidents/problems.
  • Deliver to defined Service Levels Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Create summary reports to be used by lead team and managers to support informed decision making.

Purchasing & Ordering:

  • Assist with implementing the IT software license compliance programme including tracking and reporting on non-compliance risks and issues, as well as developing, documenting and communicating the underlying processes.
  • Provide quotes and advice on purchasing, processing expense claims, interdepartmental transfers and any other financial advice as required.

Business Support:

  • Assess/analyse complex situations/problems/data; present results and make recommendations to support informed decision making.

Skills and experience

  • Clear understanding of relevant industry best practice standards and regulations.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook).
  • Proven planning, communication, interpersonal and organising skills.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills, seeking cost effective outcomes to suit changing priorities.
