Immediate start available, 6 month contract initially. Successful candidate will have a proven track record in a BMS environment and have knowledge of 'Trend'. To deliver a focused programme of Building Management System (BMS) optimisation, HVAC efficiency improvement, and energy data analysis across the estate. The role will identify inefficiencies, implement optimised control strategies, and establish monitoring practices aligned with estate and capital investment priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimise BMS strategies (Trend IQVision and Siemens Desigo), including schedules, setpoints, and sequencing.
- Undertake forensic analysis of HVAC systems across multiple buildings.
- Identify and deliver quick-win energy efficiency improvements.
- Support minor energy projects and alignment with decarbonisation strategies.
- Review metering infrastructure and identify gaps in data availability.
- Develop monitoring and verification processes using PDCA methodology.
- Undertake surveys, audits, and condition assessments.
- Produce technical reports and improvement plans.
- Support capital projects at design, commissioning, and handover stages.
- Liaise with contractors and stakeholders to deliver system improvements.
- Maintain system documentation and provide training to operational teams.
Experience, Skills and Education:
- Relevant professional qualifications together with relevant practical experience.
- Experience across large estates or multi-site environments.
- Knowledge of energy metering and analytics.
- Experience in capital project delivery.
- Understanding of asset management and lifecycle planning.
- Strong knowledge of Trend IQVision and/or Siemens Desigo.
- Experience in HVAC systems and energy optimisation.
- Proven ability in system analysis, commissioning, and fault finding.
- Strong reporting and communication skills.
- IOSH.
- High standard of general education including English and Maths GCSE (or equivalent) at grades A-C.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good level of computer literacy.
- Proven track record in a BMS environment, specifically Trend. This experience should include the maintenance, installation and commissioning of hardware, networks, 963 supervisory package and System Engineering Tool.
- To have completed the following Trend training courses: 963 Operator, 963 Engineer, System Engineering, IQ Engineering, SET Communications.
- Track record in energy reduction; with experience and knowledge of management and controlled reduction of energy consumption.
- Able to take part in, and manage, the formal call-out system (which may include working outside normal hours).
- HND/HNC in Building Services.
