We are seeking a driven and entrepreneurial Registered Manager to launch a brand-new domiciliary care branch for an established care group in East Anglia. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced domiciliary leader who has set up a service before and wants the autonomy to build something from the ground up, shaping the team, client base, and reputation of the branch from day one.
Location: East Anglia
Salary: £42,000 per annum (DoE) + Bonus Potential
Requirement: Full UK driving licence essential, with regular travel across the region
- Lead the launch and operational set-up of a brand-new domiciliary care branch in Newmarket, working closely with senior management to get the service registered and fully operational.
- Take full ownership of driving new business, building referral relationships with local authorities, CCGs, hospitals, and private clients to grow the client base from the ground up.
- Recruit, induct, and manage a team of care workers, field care supervisors, and office staff as the branch grows.
- Ensure the service is ready for CQC registration and inspection, and maintain compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards and all relevant legislation from day one.
- Develop and implement person-centred care plans and risk assessments for all new clients.
- Manage rotas, staffing levels, and care package delivery to ensure consistent, high-quality care as client numbers increase.
- Set up robust systems and processes for medication management, safeguarding, quality assurance, and record-keeping.
- Take responsibility for the branch's financial performance, managing budgets and working towards agreed growth and billable hours targets.
- Build the brand and reputation of the service locally, representing the company at community events, marketing activities, and networking opportunities.
- Handle concerns and complaints from clients and families promptly, professionally, and in line with company policy.
- Report regularly to senior management on growth, compliance, and performance against targets.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager within domiciliary/home care (essential).
- Demonstrable experience setting up or launching a domiciliary care service or branch from scratch (essential).
- Strong track record of business development and growing a client base within a care setting.
- Sound working knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards and the registration process.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to recruit, motivate, and manage a growing care team.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the resilience and drive to build a service from the ground up.
- Relevant qualification such as NVQ/QCF Level 5 in Health and Social Care (or working towards).
