About the Role: As the Registered Manager, you will take full operational responsibility for the day-to-day running of the care home, ensuring safe, person-centred care and regulatory compliance. You will lead, motivate, and develop a multidisciplinary team, embedding a culture of accountability, compassion, and continuous improvement. Your leadership will directly influence the home’s reputation, clinical outcomes, and overall quality of service. Key Responsibilities: * Provide overall leadership and management of the nursing home, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care for all residents. * Oversee and maintain robust care planning processes, ensuring assessments, care plans, and reviews are accurate, person-centred, and regularly updated. * Lead, support, and develop the staff team through supervision, appraisals, performance management, and effective rota planning. * Ensure full compliance with CQC standards and all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, addressing issues promptly and proactively. * Monitor clinical and operational performance, using audits, data, and feedback to drive continuous quality improvement. * Manage budgets and resources effectively, including staffing, supplies, and services, to maintain financial and operational efficiency. * Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders to support collaborative care. * Respond to incidents, complaints, and safeguarding concerns, ensuring timely investigation, learning, and implementation of corrective actions. Key Requirements: * Proven experience as a Nursing Home Manager or Registered Manager within a care home or similar setting. * Strong leadership and staff management skills, with a track record of building, motivating, and retaining effective teams. * Demonstrable experience in care planning, risk assessment, and person-centred care delivery. * In-depth understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding, and best practice in adult social care. * Confident in managing budgets, resources, and operational priorities within a care home environment. * Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with a calm and professional approach. * Ability to work autonomously, take accountability, and drive improvements in a fast-paced, regulated setting. Desirable Skills: * RGN qualification with current NMC registration. * Experience managing a nursing home specifically, including oversight of clinical governance. * Background in turning around or improving underperforming services. * Familiarity with digital care planning and electronic medication systems.
