KeyStage Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Qualified Teachers to work as Cover Teachers across a range of schools in the Tees Valley, Durham, North Yorkshire, and East Cleveland.
The Role
In this role, you will step in to cover for absent teachers, delivering pre-prepared lessons and supporting students to stay engaged with their learning. You may also provide one-to-one support where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise classes and maintain a positive learning environment
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans effectively
- Ensure students remain on task and achieve learning outcomes
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Provide one-to-one support to individual students when required
- Communicate with teaching staff and school teams to ensure continuity of learning
Requirements
- DBS Check
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
- Experience working with children or young people
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A flexible and proactive approach to teaching
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work across different schools and settings
- Own transport and ability to commute within an agreed area
