KeyStage Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Qualified Teachers to work as Cover Teachers across a range of schools in the Tees Valley, Durham, North Yorkshire, and East Cleveland.

The Role

In this role, you will step in to cover for absent teachers, delivering pre-prepared lessons and supporting students to stay engaged with their learning. You may also provide one-to-one support where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise classes and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans effectively
  • Ensure students remain on task and achieve learning outcomes
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Provide one-to-one support to individual students when required
  • Communicate with teaching staff and school teams to ensure continuity of learning

Requirements

  • DBS Check
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • A flexible and proactive approach to teaching
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work across different schools and settings
  • Own transport and ability to commute within an agreed area
