Responsibilities

  • Global Network Operations: Support, maintain and solution network global infrastructure (Data, Security) as part of the global network operations team, organized by region (APAC, EMEA & Americas) in a “follow the sun” model.
  • Troubleshoot complex network (LAN, WAN, DNS, etc.) and firewall-related issues.
  • Acts as primary point of escalation and subject matter expert for network operations in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise to the global operations team, particularly in the EMEA region.
  • Proactively pinpoint and eliminate network performance bottlenecks impacting business workloads and steadily improve network uptime.
  • Proactively work to enhance network security and participate as needed in security incident response efforts as a network SME.
  • Continuous improvements - participates in Problem Management, post-mortems, root cause analysis and accelerate/advance the resolution of incidents impacting critical production environments & prolonging escalations.
  • Global Network Solutions, Implementation and Technology: Contribute in exciting global projects – site buildouts, new acquisitions, new technology deployments, technology refreshes, network security enhancements, etc.
  • Stabilize newly deployed cutting edge network solutions.
  • Potentially assist with business engagement/stakeholder communications for new deployments or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Candidate needs to be comfortable with collaborating closely with business stakeholders.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekend and holiday coverage for any operational or project needs.

Qualifications

We’re looking for a diversely skilled, experienced network engineer with these qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent certification and/or experience.
  • 5-7 years of hands-on network and security experience.
  • Cisco certification is a must, preferably CCNP. More advanced certification and/or security specialization are a plus.
  • An ideal candidate will have experience or certification with some or all of the following technologies:
  • SolarWinds
  • Palo Alto Networks firewalls
  • Fortinet firewalls
  • Riverbed Steelhead
  • Wan Optimization
  • Performance Management
  • Cisco SDWAN
