JOB ROLE: Waking Night Support Worker

HOURS: Full-Time (up to 37.5) per week

LOCATION: St Austell, Cornwall PL25

REQUIREMENTS: Full UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle.

About our Service:

A beautiful complex of three properties comprising a converted four-bedroom barn where four ladies live and two single-occupancy annexes. There is a communal courtyard which is perfect for social gatherings and warm evening BBQs, a firm favourite with the people we support. The property is within walking distance of local amenities but situated in a rural location. 24/7 support with a variety of shifts available.

Our specialist Supported Living and Outreach service in St Austell provides support for people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and acquired brain injuries.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring the individuals during the night to ensure their safety and well‑being.
  • Providing support when needed, including assisting with night-time care routines.
  • Responding to emergencies or incidents that may arise during the night.
  • Maintaining a calm and secure environment, helping to create a peaceful atmosphere for the individuals.
  • Assisting with light domestic tasks as required, such as tidying and cleaning communal areas.
  • Recording incidents or changes in the individuals' condition and ensuring accurate documentation is kept.
  • Working independently throughout the night, maintaining vigilance and attention to detail.

This role requires a calm, reliable, and responsible individual who can work effectively overnight to provide high‑quality care and support.
