Senior Property Compliance Officer

Salary: Β£30,000 - Β£35,000 P/A (DoE)

Location: Office Based – Halesowen

Working pattern: Mon – Fri

About the role

The Senior Property Compliance Officer plays a key role in keeping our people, properties, and services safe. Providing leadership and expert guidance across the Property Compliance Team, you'll help ensure our homes and facilities meet all statutory, regulatory, and company requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support the Property Compliance Team.
  • Allocate and monitor workloads to ensure compliance deadlines are met.
  • Act as the main escalation point for compliance-related issues.
  • Oversee statutory inspections, testing, and maintenance programmes.
  • Monitor compliance performance, maintain records, and produce reports.
  • Manage contractor and supplier relationships, ensuring service standards are met.
  • Oversee planned maintenance programmes and monitor contractor performance.
  • Review quotations, invoices, and contract changes.
  • Support the Head of Facilities in delivering compliance, operational, and strategic objectives.
  • Contribute to policy development, budget planning, and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant compliance, facilities management, building safety or property-related qualification.
  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent health and safety qualification.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Experience managing property compliance across multiple sites.
  • Knowledge and experience monitoring compliance performance, audits, and regulatory inspections.
  • Competent using CAFM and compliance systems.
  • Experience developing procedures, controls, and management reporting.
  • Knowledge of compliance programmes covering:
    • Fire Safety
    • Gas Safety
    • Electrical Safety
    • Water Hygiene
    • Lifts and Lifting Equipment
    • Asbestos Management
    • Legionella Control
    • Emergency Lighting
    • Fixed Plant and Equipment

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong leadership and people management experience.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to influence and challenge constructively.
