Overview
We are looking for a children’s support worker to join our warm, busy family home, supporting children and young people who have experienced trauma.
The role involves giving encouragement and praise when needed, remaining patient during crises, and inspiring growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Provide emotional and physical support to children, helping them reach their full potential in sometimes challenging situations.
- Build friendships and trusting relationships with the children.
- Encourage and empower children to make decisions about themselves.
- Ensure a safe home environment, including cleaning, laundry, and cooking.
- Participate in fun days out such as fishing, ice skating, bowling, and trampolining.
- Assist with daily tasks and help children find pleasure in everyday activities.
- Adapt to flexible working schedules, including shifts and sleep‑ins.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in care or transferable experience from nursery, adult supported living, challenging behaviours, education, sports, or working with vulnerable people.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and dealing with challenging situations.
- Full UK driving licence (beneficial).
- Good communication skills, positive, playful, and energetic.

Salary plus sleep in of £62.64 each, with an additional £3,000–£6,000 per annum based on 4–8 sleep‑ins per month.
