Salary: £13.60 - £14.20 OR £27,580 - £28,797 per annum + £3000 - £6000/year sleep in allowance

Hours: 39 - Full time long day shifts plus sleep ins.

We are looking for an experienced, resilient and nurturing Children’s Support Worker to join our family home, caring for young people who have severe learning disabilities, autism and complex needs, some of whom are non verbal. You would be the person to give encouragement and praise when needed, to be patient and understanding during times of crisis and your passion and knowledge will inspire the team to achieve the best outcomes. Personal care is required as part of this position.

What do you need?

  • A minimum of 12 months complex care experience and a level 3 qualification in residential childcare or health and social care which will be recognised in your hourly pay rate.
  • Experience or knowledge of child-centred, therapeutic models.
  • Good level of English communication skills is essential.
  • Makaton or BSL would be beneficial.
  • Great communication skills, naturally caring, flexible and resilient.
  • You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins.
  • Full UK Driving licence is beneficial.
