Overview
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people? Do you have the empathy and dedication to support young people in care and care leavers aged 16-25 living in the community? We are seeking Waking Nights Support Workers to join our team. Whether you have a background in delivering care and support to young people or bring personal experience that resonates with those in our care, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Be a compassionate role model and mentor, empowering young people to:
- Develop independence, self-direction, and essential life skills
- Live healthy, safe, and fulfilling lives
- Access education, training, or employment opportunities
- Build self-esteem, confidence, and resilience
- Expand their support networks
- Understand finances and budgeting
- Develop social skills and enjoy life
- Know their rights and entitlements
You will work as part of a skilled and supportive team, receiving comprehensive training and development opportunities, including the chance to earn a qualification in Social Care.
Our team works flexibly to support young people 24/7, 365 days a year. This role involves working on a rota, including out-of-hours on-call responsibilities, so flexibility is essential.
