The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 £ per hour.
We are looking for a resilient and nurturing Children's Support Worker to join our family home, caring for young people who have emotional and behavioural difficulties. You would be the person to give encouragement and praise when needed, to be patient during times of crisis and be a friendly face to provide support during the night time.
The role can be emotionally challenging and you could be handling difficult situations, but you could be the person to change a life for the better.
Responsibilities:- Be part of a caring team that provides a safe and loving home for children and young people
- Act as a positive role model to give encouragement and praise
- Ensure their safety and wellbeing during the night
- Provide emotional support to allow the children to reach their full potential in sometimes challenging situations
- Build friendships and trusting relationships
- Previous relevant experience or transferable skills such as nursery, adult care, police, education, ex forces or supporting vulnerable people
- A real passion and desire to support children in a homely environment
- A good level of English communication skills; Makaton or BSL would be beneficial
- Experience or knowledge of child-centred, therapeutic models
