This job is for a Senior Support Worker in Children's Homes located in Southampton. The salary starts from £31,231 per annum, with an additional £3k - £6k pa for sleep-ins (4 - 8 sleep-ins per month at £62.64 each). Hours include full-time long day shifts plus sleep-ins.
We are looking for an experienced, resilient and nurturing Support Worker to join our 5-bed family home, caring for young people who have social and emotional difficulties. You will provide encouragement and praise, be patient and understanding during times of crisis, and inspire the team to achieve the best outcomes.

More about the role:
You will work with the team to promote and support the young people in our care, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. Responsibilities include day-to-day management, supporting the Service Manager, leading a team, recording events and observations, and acting as a positive role model.
What do you need?
- Experience or knowledge of child-centred, therapeutic models.
- Great communication skills, naturally caring, flexible and resilient.
- A minimum of 12 months' experience in a children's home and a level 3 qualification in residential childcare.
- Ability to work flexibly, including shifts and sleep-ins.
- Full UK Driving licence is required.
