Role Overview
Key's Group are looking for a compassionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead the team at our 4 bed house in Shrewsbury. Our home has 3 young people living there, the main house is made up of 3 bedrooms and our higher intensity annex has 1 bedroom with 2:1 care. The home was recently inspected by Ofsted in January 2025, receiving a "Good" judgement.
Key Responsibilities
- You will be accountable for delivering high quality care within the home, ensuring the care and progress children make is outstanding.
- You will be responsible for delivery of quality care services, as well as the strategic planning for developments within the home and all day to day management matters.
- Leading your team along with other professionals, you will provide the therapeutic care and support needed for each individual child focused on obtaining the best outcomes.
- You will act as a positive role model to colleagues and children to meet their everyday living needs, developing trusting relationships that create recovery, growth and lasting change.
- Responsible for mentoring of staff, organisation of work patterns, facilitation of care focussed training to QCF level 3, performance reviews and appraisals.
- Service development, budget and financial performance of the home.
- The protection, safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of our children and young people.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years' experience working within a similar environment at a Senior level.
- Level 3 or 4 in Children and Young Peoples workforce.
- Achieved or working towards Level 5 Diploma in leadership for Health and Social Care services (Children and Young Peoples management qualification).
- Strong knowledge of legislation and safeguarding procedures such as The Children Act 1989, Children's home regulations.
- Experience of budgets and financial management.
- Fully committed to achieving the best outcomes for children.
- Full driving licence is essential.
- Ability to work flexibly and carry out on-call duties.
