Salary: £27,456 - £43,014 | Full Time (40 hours/week)

Purpose of the Role

To plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching that meets the diverse needs of pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours. At Liverpool Progressive School, we provide specialist education which supports the educational needs of young people aged 8 – 19 with moderate to severe learning difficulties, complex needs and a range of associated social, emotional, interaction and sensory difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and teach lessons, working with small groups and individual students
  • Prepare teaching materials and any food items needed for the following week, take registers and write reports
  • Help students develop confidence, independence and encourage them to learn, including being hands-on in Food Technology
  • Manage behaviour, mark work and talk to parents and carers about their children's progress

Requirements:

  • Experience and teaching skills within Physical Development and Technology are preferred
  • A committed and passionate view of students with SEND
  • At least two years' experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision
  • QTS/QTLS is advantageous
