Key Responsibilities

  • Be part of a caring team that provides a safe and loving home for children and young people, led and supported by a registered manager.
  • Act as a positive role model to meet their everyday living needs.
  • Engage in fun activities and days out such as football, Play Station, cycling and baking.
  • Encourage and share hobbies and interests.
  • Carry out household tasks such as cooking and cleaning.
  • Provide emotional and physical support to allow the children to reach their full potential in sometimes challenging situations.
  • Build friendships and trusting relationships.
  • Help them to find pleasure in everyday tasks.
  • Empower them to make decisions about themselves.

Qualifications and Attributes

  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
  • Experience within children’s care is highly beneficial.
  • Natural caring, flexible and resilient nature.
  • Great communication skills, positive and energetic.
  • Ability to relate well, share interests, give encouragement and get involved.
  • Must be able to work flexibly, including shifts and sleep‑ins.
