We are looking for compassionate, dedicated Waking Night Support Workers to join our new team and help us build a community based on care, respect, and empowerment. As a Support Worker, you'll have the unique opportunity to be a part of something special from the very beginning - helping individuals regain independence and live life to the fullest. Your role will have a direct impact on creating a warm, welcoming environment for residents and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Support residents in maintaining and developing independence through daily activities and encouraging personal growth.
  • Promote engagement in hobbies, interests, and life skills development, such as budgeting, shopping, and paying bills.
  • Assist with healthcare needs, including accompanying residents to medical appointments and supporting with medication administration.
  • Provide assistance with personal care (depending on individual needs), including help with daily tasks like bathing and dressing.
  • Support with domestic duties, including cleaning and preparing meals to create a comfortable, homely atmosphere.

Summerhill Avenue is a brand-new residential care home opening in 2025, located in the heart of Newport. It will provide high-quality accommodation and support for up to 12 adults with acquired brain injuries and neurological conditions, with a person-centred approach that focuses on each individual's unique goals and aspirations.
