SEND Teaching Assistant in Liverpool

To support teaching and learning by assisting teachers in delivering education and care to pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours. The school provides specialist education which supports the educational needs of young people aged 8 - 19 with moderate to severe learning difficulties, complex needs and a range of associated social, emotional, interaction and sensory difficulties.,

• Mentoring, supporting and inspiring learners by supporting them with curriculum-based learning in the classroom, on home tuition and outreach and through outdoor activities
• Assist with the preparation of learning material and contributing to the delivery of learning objectives with a strong focus on behavioural management
• Daily reports on learners' progress and barriers to learning
• Interaction with parents/care givers on a regular basis A committed and passionate view of students with SEND
• At least two years' experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision
• A level 3 TA qualification is advantageous Salary: £26,228 - £27,593 | Full Time (37.5 hours/week), NEST enhanced pension scheme
