Role Overview
We are looking for a children's support worker to join our family home and care for children who are very active and energetic.
You will be the person to give encouragement and praise when needed, be patient and understanding during times of crisis, and inspire them to grow and develop.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and participate in fun activities such as swimming, trampolining, football, dance and revisit missed milestones.
- Provide emotional and physical support to allow the children to reach their full potential.
- Build friendships and trusting relationships with the children.
- Help children find pleasure in everyday tasks.
- Empower children to make decisions about themselves.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Excellent communication skills, fun, positive and energetic.
- Experience and qualifications in children’s care or transferable skills such as children’s nursery, sport, education or early years experience.
- Ability to build trusting relationships and act as a role model.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Flexibility to work shifts and sleep‑ins.
- Salary & Benefits
Salary: £13.45 per hour plus additional £62.64 per sleep‑in (working approximately 4‑8 sleep‑ins per month, equating to an additional £3,000 ‑ £6,000 per annum).
