Job Overview

We are looking for a Children’s Waking Night Support Worker to become part of our loving family home, caring for younger children who have emotional and behavioural difficulties.

You will support the children through the night, giving encouragement and praise when needed, and inspiring them to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide emotional and physical support to help children reach their full potential.
  • Encourage and praise children to build confidence.
  • Build friendships and trust‑building relationships with the children.
  • Empower children to make decisions about themselves.
  • Maintain a safe home environment, including cleaning, laundry, and cooking.
  • Support children during crises and challenging situations.
  • Attend night‑time shifts to provide continuous care.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Natural caring, flexible, and resilient personality.
  • Passionate about supporting children to lead happy lives.
  • Excellent communication skills; positive, playful, and energetic.
  • Experience in children’s care, nursery, education, sports or working with vulnerable people is beneficial.
  • Ability to remain calm during challenging situations.
  • Full UK driving licence is beneficial.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children.
