Location: Burnley

Salary: £25,552 plus £3,000 - £6,000 pa for sleep‑ins. (£62.64 per sleep‑in)

Shift patterns: Full‑time working long days plus extra sleep‑ins (approx. 4–6 sleep‑ins per month)

Full UK Driving licence is required.

We are looking for a children's support worker to become part of our lovely family home, caring for young people who have sometimes emotional and behavioural difficulties. You would be the person to give encouragement and praise when needed, to be patient and understanding during times of crisis and to inspire them to grow and develop. The role can be emotionally challenging and you could be handling sometimes difficult situations, but you could be the person to change a life for the better.

What do you need?

  • We want people who are naturally caring, nurturing and emotionally resilient.
  • Great communication skills, positive and energetic.
  • Experience is not essential as we provide training; more important is a desire and passion to support children.
  • Ability to remain calm during sometimes challenging situations.
  • Full UK Driving licence is essential.
  • You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children, which will include working shifts and sleep‑ins.
