This is the ideal opportunity for a Deputy Manager to take on their first Registration with CIW. We are looking for a passionate and committed Registered Manager to lead our 3 bed home near Whitchurch. There are currently 3 young people calling this house their home, aged 8 and 2 x 15 year olds. The home has recently been inspected and received an "Excellent" report from CIW.
Your Role as a Registered Manager:
- Lead with vision, compassion and integrity, ensuring children receive outstanding care, support and guidance tailored to their individual needs.
- Be the voice and advocate for both your team and the children, creating a home where safety, respect and aspirations thrive.
- Empower your team to deliver therapeutic, child-centred care that leads to real, lasting outcomes.
- Create a home culture that is warm, inclusive, and resilient, where young people feel safe, valued and inspired.
- Oversee all operational aspects, including safeguarding, care planning, compliance, and team development.
- Mentor and develop staff, cultivating future leaders through coaching, supervision and training (including QCF Level 3 facilitation).
- Lead service development, budget management and continuous improvement across all areas of home performance.
Your skills:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience working within a similar environment at a Senior level.
- Level 3 or 4 in Children and Young Peoples workforce.
- Achieved or working towards Level 5 Diploma in leadership for Health and Social Care services (Children and Young Peoples management qualification).
- Strong knowledge of legislation and safeguarding procedures such as The Children Act 1989, Children's home regulations.
- Experience of budgets and financial management.
- Full driving licence is essential.
- Ability to work flexibly and carry out on-call duties.
