We are recruiting an enthusiastic HCPC Qualified Occupational Therapist to join Sunny Hill School.
We are a small, supportive school that guides children through their educational journey, supporting a wide range of students with learning difficulties that impact their learning, communication, and daily life, and ensuring every student is engaged in an appropriate programme of study.
Responsibilities
- Providing direct assessment, intervention and consultation.
- Playing a key role in delivering high‑quality services for pupils with complex special educational needs and disabilities.
- Working with the support of other professionals within the Clinical Team in this varied and rewarding role.
- Conducting assessment tools and interventions appropriate to the needs of children and young people with complex needs.
- Implementing sensory integration and sensory‑based interventions.
- Supporting pupils with SEND so they are engaged in an appropriate programme of study and achieve their best possible outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
- HCPC registered.
- Interest in attachment and developmental trauma.
- Post‑qualification experience in SEN education.
- Familiarity with a variety of OT assessment tools and interventions.
- Experience in sensory integration and sensory‑based interventions.
- Passionate champion of students with SEND.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
