Keys Group's Children’s Home in Bridgewater is looking for a Residential Support Worker to work alongside children and young people aged 8‑18 who display emotional and behavioural difficulties. The role is part of a 39‑hour week rota that includes shifts, long days and sleep‑ins.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide kind, caring, supportive and fun care to children in a residential setting
  • Work with children to address emotional, behavioural and social needs, encouraging positive development
  • Collaborate with managers and a team of support workers to deliver the group’s care plan and activities
  • Respond flexibly to challenging situations, adapting support to individual needs

Qualifications & Experience

  • No formal qualification required to start – ongoing vocational training will be supported by the organisation
  • Driving licence required
  • Enhanced DBS check paid by Keys Group
  • Veteran friendly – guaranteed interview for current or former service personnel who meet role criteria. (Include military experience on CV.)

Remuneration

Salary: £13.45 – £14.15 per hour plus sleep‑in allowance of £62.64 per sleep‑in (estimated 4‑8 sleep‑ins per month, £3,000‑£6,000 per annum). Position starting 1 April 2026.
